Navy Basic Training
Welcome, Recruit! You have decided to join the greatest Empire in
the Galaxy. And, furthermore, you have decided to join the most prestigious Division, the
Vast Empire Navy! Complete your Basic Training and you will become a Crewman, and a fully
enlisted pilot in the Vast Empire Navy!
You should have a Vast Empire username and password. Sign on to the
ComNet at
and post a message on the Navy Academy part. Just post your callsign, and maybe why
you're here.
Thats it, the hard part is over. Next, use mIRC or vIRC or another IRC program to access
the IRC server: (irc.massassi.net) - Then join the main Vast Empire (#vast_empire) channel, and start
chatting away to anybody who is awake. In case you don't have IRC you can get it
here.
Finally, send an
email telling the commanding officers you've done all that, and after a few days you will get
placed in a Squadron, told who your Squadron Commander is, and promoted to Leading Crewman.
Your Squadron Commander will get you settled into the Squadron, and get you on the Battlestats.com VEMP Club, if you play
multiplayer.
That's it, you're done. After a day or two you should be placed in a squadron and ready to fly. In
the meantime get to know the members and read up on our club history. They will help you get ready for the
Aviator's Exam, which you can and SHOULD take.
